INDOOR BASKETBALL
COMPETITIONS TO BEGIN
NEXT WEEK
Following ’three enthusiastic practice evenings, the Tauranga Indoor Basketball- Association will open its competitions ; injthe Rivoli Hall next Tuesday evening at j o’clock.
New players to the game are showing great premise, the old members having been interspersed through the 13 teams —five ladies’ and eight men’s. 'Last Tuesday evening the association used both courts for the first time, the control of the games suffering not at all in spite pf the fact that the courts adjoin. Tournament play can now he speeded up considerably. Rigid competition conditions will be enforced during trial games ned Tuesday, and teams must be read) to take the courts at the schedule times.
The draw for the evening is 45
follows: — . .., Men: 7.15 True Blues v. EUR Motors;, 7.40 Wanderer 8 v - Rpver |: 8.5 Cadets y. Easy Aces; 5.30 0 Boys v. Hydro Hurricanes. Ladies: 7.15 College v. .7.35 Atomic v. Rascals: "■ 3 Wizards v. College; 8.15 Rainstei' Rascals; 8.35 Atomic v. Wizards. Following these, the men’s tf*» will play further games on h courts.
