FIVE LIVES LOST
CHINA CLIPPER CRASHES New York, Jan. 9. Pan American Airways' widelyknown flying-boat, the China Clipper crashed on making a landing at night at Port of Spain, Trinidad. Five are dead and 17 are missing, believed drowned. Seven were rescued. h
