FUN FAIR TO BE RUN

BIG PATRIOTIC EFFORT MOVE TO BOOST TAURANGA’S QUOTA An enthusiastic meeting of delegates of some 47 associated bodies, was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Thursday night and it was decided to hold a Pun Fair and Bring and Buy in the Town Hall on September 28 and September 29 with a grand finale football match and dance on Saturday September 30 for the purposes of attaining the required quota for Tauranga Patriotic Interzone. It was decided that each organisation commence immediately a series of competitive functions to augment its particular fund and every threepence collected will represent one vote. Everyone is requested to give this necessary effort for patriotic their full support and thereby help to attain the desired objective. Progressive results will be published as the campaign proceeds Get in early with progress votes and boost the show along. Publicity for functions can be arranged with the secretary-treasurer (Mr R. B. Shearman). The next meeting of delegates will be held in the Borough Council Chambers on Thursday, September 21, at 7.30 p.m.
