EXPLOSION IN BELGIUM

TRAINLOAD OF BOMBS London, Sept. 14. Allied troops in Belgium found holes 50ft to 60ft deep 'in the ground where a trainload of flying bombs had exploded, says the Associated Press correspondent. The bombs were in a train which was attacked by the Royal Air Force. “This nightmare scene is a mile from the Albert Canal, adds the correspondent. “We found part of an officer’s jacket, but nothing else. Six of the 40 cars in the train were left standing on the rails. Although their cargoes of robots had been melted and twisted by the tremendous heat of the explosion, they were still recognisable.”
