TREMENDOUS AIR BOMBARDMENT

MR CHURCHILL'S CLIMAX

OFFENSIVE AGAINST AXIS EUROPE

London, April 23

The tremendous air bombardment against Axis Europe is now mounting swiftly toward Mr Churchill's "unimaginable" climax, says the Press Association's aviation correspondent. The Bomber Command's nightly effort is already probably more than ten-fold the peak of the German effort, while the daylight offensive is three times more intense than in the Battle of Britain.

Photographs show that only two or three Avar factories remain undamaged in the great manufacturing centre of Frankfurt, following last month's heav.y day and night attacks.
