NEW WORDS

RUSSIAN ANTHEM London, Dec. 21. The Russian Government has decided to replace the text of the “Internationale” with new words in accordance with the spirit and essence of the Soviet order, says the Moscow radio. The present anthem does not reflect basic changes which have occurred jn Russia as a result of the victory of the Soviet order. The new anthem, which will be called “Hymn of the Soviet Unions,” will be adopted officially throughout the Soviet Union on March 15. It has several verses, one of which couples the name of Lenin and Stalin. The “Internationale” was composed in 1874 and was adopted as the anthem of the International Socialist Movement toward the end of the last century.
