BACK TO WORK
GAS STRIKE OVER
(P.A.) Auckland, Dec. 22. A feeling of general, relief was fell in Auckland this morning when it became known that the. employees of the Auckland Gas Company, who had been on strike since last Monday morning, had agreed to return to work. ■lt will be some days before there is a supply for industrial, purposes. The men decided to go back to work after a meeting held at o’clock this morning when they accepted the recommendation of Auckland Trades Council to resum work. „ It is understood the men informed that the Government wou not intervene unless the men turned to their jobs. _ —|
