ON THEIR WAY HOME

N.Z. FORESTRY UNIT PORT IN UNITED STATES REACHED New York, Sept. 29. The arrival at an undisclosed port of more than 600 Australian and New Zealand Army Forestry troops, travelling home after three years' service in the British Isles, is announced by the War Department.

The Anzacs will enjoy a three day's vacation in New York City as guests of the Eastern Defence Command. On Friday the troops will parade up Broadway to the City Hall, escorted by a police battalion. They will he welcomed by the Mayor of New York, Mr. La Guardia.

Other entertainment includes a special baseball game in New York, Yankees versus the Chicago White Sox.
