VISIT TO WEST AFRICA
COLONIAL SECRETARY Rugby, August IG. The Secretary -of State for the Colonies. Colonel Oliver Stanley, proposes to pay a visit of fa few weeks ■;o the British West African colonies during September.
The purpose of his visit is to enable him to gain first-hand knowledge and local background and see something of the West African war effort, also consulting with the Resident Minister and Governor, Lord Swiaton. He hopes also to make contact with members of local communities.
