EAST INDIES BOMBERS

Sydney, Feb. 3

A Netherlands East Indies Army

bombing squadron is now in action against the Japanese in the Southwest Pacific. Their Mitchell medium bombers reinforcing tb.e United States and Australian bombing attacks on Japanese shipping and installations north of Australia.

All pilots and bombardiers and most of the technicians are Dutchmen or Indonesians, who fought the Japanese for three months in the Netherlands East Indies. Some of the gunners and ground staff are Australians.

It is announced that Vice-Admiral Conrad Helfich,, Commander-in-Chief of the Netherlands forces in uo Eas , will arrive in Australia soon.
