NEW ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
(P.A.) Wellington, Feb. 3. The appointment of Mr Robert Browne Tennent as assistant-Direc-tor-General of the Department of Agriculture is announced. Born in Scotland 50 years ago, Mr Tennent served in the last war in the Australian Imperial Forces, and came to New Zealand in 19 21, wherehe joined -the department, as an Inrfuctor. Mr Percy' Walton Smallfield sn"cee /1 s Mr Tennent as Director of the Fields Division.
