SEBASTOPOL'S DEFENDERS Unprecedented Courage Germans Throw In Fresh Forces London, June 21. A special despatch from Sebastopol to the Russian army newspaper Bed Star states that under pressure of numerical superiority the defenders of the fortress have withdrawn, on one section, from the southern front. The despatcdi states that the situation remains -tense and that the enemy is increasing his pressure. The Germans are throwing, in fresh forces on the northern and southern sectors, says a Moscow report, but the Red Army is holding firm. A message just received this afternoon, from the correspondent of the Russian newspaper Pravda in Sehastopol, states that the Russians are displaying unprecedented courage and that the Germans are unable to break their resistance. There
is no confirmation oi the German Claim to have taken all the torts in the northern area. The Russian newspaper Isvestia staies dial the invincibility of the German army has been disproved and thai the Nazis can no longer make a major break through. They can only hope for local successes.
