RAIDS ON MALTA

EIGHT RAIDERS 'DESTROYED R.A.F. Active In Middle East Attacks On Enemy Camps London, May 19. The latest Middle East communique reports continued activity by our fighter aircraft over enemy camps and motor transport. Over Malta our fighters destroyed five German fighters and three Italian fighters of the latest type. Four of our bombers are missing. Lord Gort, Governor of Malta, has replied to London's message to Malta. He said, "we know what London has endured without faltering. Malta will persevere.''
