NAZI GARRISONS ROUTED

FIGHTING IN KALININ SECTOR

MISERY OF GERMAN TROOPS UNIFORMS FROZEN TO THEIR BODIES London, April 21 The Russians, in spite of unfavourable weather, are continuing harrassing attacks on the enemy both before and behind his lines. The German High Command is complaining bitterly of the difficult weather. It says that the German soldiers are drenched to the skin all clay and have their uniforms frozen to their bodies at night. The Russians claim to have routed the German garrisons in four villages in the Kalinin sector and to have killed 70 0 of the enemy. The garrison at Sebastopol has made several sorties, in some cases penetrating behind the German lines. German troops in reserve on the Russian front had to be sent to deal with German reinforcements who mutinied in Poland on their way to the eastern front.
