WHAKAMARAMA NOTES

CFrom Our Correspondent.) A swing of the wind to the southwest seems to have brought to an end a spell of spring-like weather, somewhat exceptional for the lateness of the season. As a result of the warm and showery conditions young grass has been given a great start, and should not now look back. Another result has been to keep milking cows hanging on, and no doubt some, will be more difficult in drying off. At all events it has been a fitting finish to a very good season.
