HARPO MARX NOT SO DUMB!
Harpo Marx, the dumbwit of the Marx Brothers trio of comedians, gave evidence at the trial in New York of Joseph Schenck, the film executive, on a charge of income tax evasion. ( The court was filled with people who for years had seen Harpo as the mute on the films and they waited tensely for him to speak. Counsel asked: “Can you talk?” to which Harpo replied, “Oh, yes, I won 7827 dollars from Schenck by holding plenty of aces!”
