REGENT "When the Daltons Rode," Universal's saga of frontier America, in the days of the celebrated Dalton gang, conies to the Regent Theatre to-day with Randolph Scott and Kay Francis heading the cast.. Based on the exciting book of the same name, the film traces the careers of the Dalton boys as ranch owners who are led into spectacular crime by the persecutions of a land company. The story reaches a climax with the historic raid on Coffeyville, Kansas, in 1892, when the gang was destroyed while staging the old West's only double bank robbery. Miss Francis, portraying the first action role of her career, appears as the winsome telegraph operator of Cofferville. TOWN HALL "Pastor Hall," which screens finally to night at the Town Hall Theatre, is a poignant drama—an indictment of the Nazi regime in Germany. This film depicts a tragic story—a story that is actually pres-ent-day history, the life of Pastor Neimoeller. It is told with commendable simplicity. The Pastor is played by Wilfrid' Lawson and he is a character who has the courage to stand for his Christian principles against the ever-growing influence of Nazism. The outcome ffe incarceration in a German concentration camp. He escapes and preaches one last sermon to his frightened people.
