Crude avocado oil has been produced recently in Guatemala by one of the local soap manufacturers, being used in the manufacture of soap and for the treatment of the scalp and hair. The refined avocado oil is light coloured and similar to olive oil in appearance. It is also reported to be free from taste or odour.
