TAURANGA

Although the weather throughout the afternoon was threatening there was a record number of bowlers on the Tauranga Bowling Club’s greens on Saturday afternoon, a full eight rinks —6 4 players—being engaged. This season the club has had a very large number of visiting bowlers from all parts of the North Island and they have gone away with very pleasant memories of their stay in Tauranga and the hospitably extended to them by the members of the Tauranga Bowling Club. Their expressions concerning the playing conditions of the greens and the surroundings have also been a source of great satisfaction to the club.
