Germans Destroy Cavell Monument
New York, Aug. 6
Miss Carolyn R. Nash, a volunteer ambulance driver for the .American Hospital near Paris, arriving aboard the Yankee Clipper, reported the Germans have destroyed the monument to nurse Edith Cavell in the Tuilleries Gardens, Paris.
