OIL GUSHER
BIG STRIKE IN FRANCE
Oil has been struck at St. Gaudens after boring for some months. Crude oil is gushing at a pressure of 14 221 b to the square inch. It contains per cent of pure petrol; Over 2,000,000 gallons were collected in a few hours. A message from Bucharest, Rumania, states that the armed guard over oil wells has been increased. Troops are guarding the Bucharest aerodrome for the first time. St. Gaudents is. in the HauteGaronne department of France, on the River Garonne. It is a pilgrim resort, and manufactures cloth. The altitude is 13 25ft. '
