‘‘Owing to some of those entered for the race being unable to attend the rink on Saturday night, the event has been postponed till next Saturday night, and further entries can-be made up till next, Thursday evening. The following are the entries at present: —Messrs Haua, Rusden, Sunderland, Tapper, Irwin and Calloway. A polo match is being arranged' to be played in the Temperance Hall on September 7th between a Mercury Bay team and five of our local rinkists. A grand fancy dress carnival and ball is advertised to take place at the rink on the sth prox.”
