German Broadcasts. An idea of the kind of propaganda put over by Nazi Germany, can be gathered by listening in to their early morning session in Ehglish (about seven o’clock). The distortion of facts is amazing, Sunday morning’s highlight was the alleged attack by Polish soldiers on children. Old Native Resident Passes. The death occurred at Bethlehem on Sunday of Mrs Kopu (Annie) Moiri, daughter of the late Te Mete Raukawa. The deceased was born at Bethlehem- and for many years resided at Hairini. Her only son was the late Tu Moiri, a well-known Tauranga football representative. Mrs Moiri, who was over ninety years old, was highly respected by Europeans and Maoris., The customary tangi is now in progress. Railway Slips.’ The Stationmaster advises that until further notice no passengers, parcels or goods are being accepted for South o| Te Kuiti. This is owing to large*'slips on the line.
