BEER BOYCOTT

u HOTELS IN WELLINGTON Wellington, Aug. 18 Wellington watersiders held another informal meeting to-day and decided to accept the challenge of the Licensed Victuallers’ Association that the watersiders’ beer boycott would be a “nine days’ wonder” and that they would be back in the hotels after that period. It was decided to declare all hotels “black” until the price of beer was brought back to . fourpence a “handle.” The motion was carried by an overwhelming majority, 900 being present at the xneteing.
