Unexpected Fortune
Nearly half a century ago a little boy helped to dig up a lawn, and as a reward was given two minted five-cent American stamps to add to his collection. The other day Mr W. E. Harriott, of Big .Springs, Texas, the little boy of long ago, sold the two stamps for £ 800, for it happened that they were among the few known specimens of an 1882 issue which have on them a picture of James A. Garfield, one-time President of the United States! „
