MOTORIST GAOLED •In the Invercargill Supreme Court Charles Archibald Riggley, on a charge of negligently driving causing' death, was sentenced to six months’ hard labour; for failing to stop after an accident, he was sentenced to two months’ hard labour, the sentences to he concurrent. He was also prohibited from driving for ten years. The American explorer, Mr Lincoln Ellsworth, plans to make a fifth expedition to the South Pole in 194041, says the Genoa correspondent of the Exchange Agency.
