FLAT FINISH

Apparently, development is, going, on for ever: there is no such thing as finality. The polishing of met,al surfaces had been brought t,o a very fine point years ago by honing and lapping, but there is a new method in use in the Chrysler factory which takes the matter still further. This new* finish is known as the finish and is almost dead smooth; compared with it, under the microscope, ground finish is a coarse file, honed finish a nail file and even a lapped finish is still a file in contour.
