HORSE KILLED
CHILD’S AMAZING ESCAPE
While a motor lorry was being driven at Pongakawa yesterday morning by Mr Chatfield, a horse ridden by a girl named Leah Milsom, shied at a piece of paper and fell against the lorry and together with the rider dropped under the vehicle. The lorry was brought to a standstill, but the back dual wheels passed over the horse and killed. The girl had a leg broken.
