“IN PROPER WAY”

CARRYING OUT OF WORK Auckland, Oct. 19. A clause headed “carrying out work in a proper manner” is an interesting portion of the proposals of the New Zealand Waterside Employers’ Association for a new award for the industry. The proposed clause says that individually and collectively all workers shall cgarry out all work with due expedition in a proper and workmanlike manner and in accordance with the lawful direction of the employers. Another proposal is that the work of the employers shall always proceed despite any dispute arising, and that no worker shall cease, suspend or delay work or commit any act or default in contravention of this provision.
