IN NEW FORM
“THE BAY OF PLENTY TIMES." To-day we present the “Bay of Plenty Times” in new form. Although the pages are smaller, conforming to the modern trend of newspaper production, the number has been doubled, providing 25 per cent, more space than was available in the four pages with which our readers have been familiar. The change was contemplated some time ago and our newspaper supply al* tered accordingly, but unfortunately the new size cannot reach here until iate November. The demand for increased space however will not permit of longer delay in making the change, and in face of considerable mechanical difficulties, principally in the printing and folding of the paper, we present the paper to-day and Henceforth in its new form. Several new features are presented with to-day’s issue, and will be continued with such modification or improvement as experience proves necessary. With a short story daily, and illustrations of topical events abroad, and other features which have proved acceptable elsewhere, we aim to keep the “Bay of Plenty Times” thoroughly in keeping with the progress of the town and indeed a local paper more than favourably comparable with any other in the Dominion.
