WEDDING

WHEELEH —SIMMON'S. At the Holy Trinity Church yesterday Alice Esther, eider daughter of Mr and -Mrs J. 11. Simmons of Kaimai, was married to Frank Thomas, son of Mr and Mrs J. Wheeler, of Tnakau. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. O. S. O. Gibson. Mr Herbert Webb presiding at the organ.

The bride was given away by her father, and looked very smart in a navy tailored costume with cream needleruu lace blouse. Her navy peach bloom hat was finished with an e.'o veil, the accessories were navy, a squirrel stole giving an attractive linisb. The bridal bouquet was of creamy roses and pastel shaded dowers with maidenhair fern. The bride’s sister, Miss lima Wheeler, was bridesmaid, wearing a rust coloured tailored costume relieved with oyster. A rust peach bloom hat. brown fur and brown accessories were worn, the bridesmaid also, carrying a bouquet in autumn shades. Mr S, Pearce was best man. The reception was held at the Masonic Hotel, the bride’s mother wearing a grey tailored costume with hat to match and black fox fur, Mrs Wheeler was in black georgette with a fur coat. The guests included visitors from Taumarumti, Auckland. Rotorua, Cambridge, Palmerston North, in addition to many local friends . After an extended tour of the North the newly married couple will return and make their home at Kaimai.
