TENNIS MATCH [From Our Correspondent] An interclub match between Te Puna Tennis Club and the Whakamaramara Club was played on the School court at Te Puna on Saturday last. After a very enjoyable day’s play the matches finished with Te Puna 9 sets, Whakamaramara 3 sets. Detailed results were as follows, Te Puna names being mentioned first: Ladies Doubles.—Miss R. Brown and Miss S. Lochhead beat Mrs A. Sharplin and Mrs T. Sharplin, 6-2, Miss N. Armstrong and Mrs G. Palmer beat Mrs H. 0. Sharplin and Miss P. Foster 6-2, Miss Gainsford and Miss L. D. Smith beat Mrs W. Lander and Miss C. Lockhead 6-4. Men’s Doubles.—G. Palmer and A. Snodgrass beat R. Sharplin and A. Sharplin 6-1, R. Armstrong and K. I'Anson lost to K. Sharplin and C. Foster 0-6, B. Sharplin and K. I’Ansou beat W. Lauder and Hearfield 6-1.

Combined Doubles.— Miss R. Brown and A. Snodgrass Mrs T. Sharplin and A. Sharplin 6-3, Miss S. Lochhead and G. Palmer beat Mrs A. Sharplin and R. Sharplin 6-3, Mrs G. Palmer and R. Armstrong lost to Mrs H. 0. Sharplin and C. Foster 5-6, Miss N. Armstrong and K. FAnson lost to Miss D. Foster and K. Sharplin 5-6, Miss Gainsford and B. Sharplin beat Mrs W. Lauder and Hearfield 6-5, Miss L. D. Smith and Mr K. FAnson beat L. D. Smith and K. FAnson beat Miss P. Foster and \V. Lauder 6-2. PERSONAL Miss E. Lockhead left last week for Feilding where she intends spending a week or two. Miss Nora Thomson is spending a week’s holiday with Mrs C. Borell. Miss R. Brown spent the Easter holidays in Auckland. Miss M. Phipps left on Ihuisday last for Turua where she is to stay with Mrs A. G. Williams. Mr and Mrs Sisley of Otorohanga have returned home after spending the Easter holidays with Mr and Mrs G. Palmer at Te Puna. Miss A. Gainsford returned to Te Puna after spending the Easter holidays in Wellington, where she acted as bridesmaid at a wedding.
