PAINFUL INJURY

YOUNG .MAX SHOT IX LEG While attempting to extract a cartridge from a rifle on Saturday evening, a young man. Mr Alfred Rolfo. youngest son of Mr and Mrs A. Rolfo. of Cameron Road, Tauranga. who was staying with his brother, Mr William Rolfe. in Oroua Street, Te Puke, was shot in the foot when the gun accidentally discharged. Messrs Rolfe were preparing for a huntinv trip. They were seated on a couch endeavouring to dislodge a cartridge which had become jammed in the I reach, when the gun suddenly went off and Mr Alfred Rolfe received the charge below the ankle. Dr. Randell was immediately summoned and after attention the injured man was removed to the Tauranga Hospital. His condition is satisfactory.
