ACCIDENTS COST £9,000,000

Accidents in industry are costing Britain about £9,000,000 every year

—in compensation to injured workers, court costs, litigation, and loss of good workmanship. In an effort to enable employers and workers to reduce this enormous loss the Home Office is planning an important display of "Safety in In_ dustry - ’ methods in the Palace of Industry at the Empire Exhibition, which the King will open at Glasgow on May 3.

Home Office experts have found that where safety devices they recommend have been adopted in various industries accidents have been reduced by as much as 80 per cent.
