CLARKE MEMORIAL SHIELD

WON 15V MR J. H. EVANS

The competition at the recent Tauranga Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s show for the Clarke Memorial Shield was won by Mr J. H. Evans, of Papamoa, with 62 points, Mr T. W. Wardlaw, of Waimana, was runner-up with 56 points. The Clarke Memorial Shield, which was .presented to the Association for most points gained at the show in the horse, cattle* and pig sections, has been in competition at seven annual shows.

In the draught horse classes, a special prize for most points in that section, was also won by Mr J. H. Evans with 52 points. The prize is a twelve months’ subscription to the “New Zealand Farmer,” presented by N.Z. Newspapers, Ltd. ,
