HOUSE TO RESUME

NEXT TUESDAY

Mil SAVAGE TO VISIT AUCKLAND

Wellington, Feb. 23

Parliament will resume on Tuesday without the presence of the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, who will delegate the leadership of the House? of Representatives to the Minister of Education, the Hon. P. .Fraser.

This development is not due to the state of Mr Savage’s health, but is necessitated by his first public engagement since his illness —his attendance at the Catholic centenary celebrations in Auckland. It will be impossible for him to return to Wellington before Wednesday morning. Although Mr Savage has resumed his duties he is conserving his strength by limiting his day’s programme.
