PRIZES DONATED NATIONAL TOBACCO COMPANY LIMITED PISH CAUGHT IN TAURANGA WATERS Sportsmen will be interested to learn that the National Tobacco Co., Ltd., have donated six prizes for two competitions to be awarded to the sportsmen landing the heaviest biggame fish during the current season in Tauranga waters. Great catches oi marlin were made at Bermagui during the week-end, weights oi me llsn being 214, 2 74, 22U, 182, 180, 204 and 2V7 lb. hue lucky anglers were Messrs G. E. jLiauseii, Armur IJpnelu, O. vJ. woounuuse, Cuas. Stewart icwo,i, C. n. syme ami L. T. urake. Except for Mr Stewart’s 1081 b. stnpea marlin, ail were black marine Twenty-two marlin have been taken this season. Fishing about throe miles off Cronuila, Air F. sorter, of North Cronulia, landed a 3831 b. hammerhead suark. Air Porter is an entrant in me big game fishing contest.
