TASMAN AIR LINE

GIANT MACHINES Sydney. Feb 22. The Minister of Defence, Mr H. V. Thornby. announces that giant flyingboats, nearly twice the size of the Centaurus, are being designed in England for the Tasman air service. The Minister states that, although the recent Tasman crossing by the Centaurus was highly successful, it would be impossible to make a commercial success of the service with aircraft with such a small pay-load as the Centaurus.
