PERSONAL

The Hon. B. C. Robbins, M.L.C., was a visitor to Tauranga at the week-end and stayed at the Star Hotel. He left this morning on his return to Wellington.

is with regret we learn to-day of the very sudden death of Mrs Quayle, wife of Mr J. T, Quayle of Cameron Road. In the early part of last evening Mrs Quayle was apparently quite well, but she had a sudden seizure. , Much sympathy will be extended to her husband and family of five sons and one daughter in their great sorrow.

Mr M. W. Watt, of Tauranga, who received word of the death of his mother, left for Hampden in South Canterbury on Saturday morning.

Commander and Mrs Fell, of “Bureta,” Otumoetai, have returned from a visit to the Old Country.

Mr A. B. List, chief clerk at the Tauranga railway station, is on vacation, and is being relieved by Mr J. Hannah, of the District (Trafiip Manager’s staff, Auckland. Mr List will be off duty till the end of October. *

Visitors at the Masonic Hotel include Mr and Mrs Richards, . Mrs Bond, Messrs Bond, Russell, Pemberton, Russell, Standren, Carlson, Allen (2), and Clayton.

Guests at the Tauranga Hotel include Mrs Swanston, Messrs Fenwick, Smith, Charteris, Phillips and McLeod.

Guests at the Star Hotel are Mr and Mrs Elms, Mr and Mrs Hoare ,and child, Mr and Mrs Hill, Mrs Poole, Mrs Phillips, Mrs Knapp, Miss Knapp, Messrs Alexander, Colebrook, Crowther and Burns.
