Tauranga as We Know It From Day to Day

Yesterday we met a friend from Wellington. It was a blustery day with a cold southerly wind. “Perhaps,” he said, “you do not know me in this rig out. I have been here six weeks, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. What a wonderful climate you have Look, this is all I’m wearing, I havn’t been cold since I’ve been here.” We shivered, and mentally reflected “Tough Guy.” But there it is, we feel that the fates are treating us unkindly, our weather has fallen from grace, yet elsewhere it seems very much worse, which leaves us still able to claim that Tauranga is indeed the spot where Sunshine what there is of it—spends the Winter. And after all the important point is—how do we compare with other spots? Here are some facts that speak for themselves:— Our three hottest months are December, January, and February, with an average temperature of 65 degrees at 9 a.m. Our three coldest months are May, June and July with an average temperature of 50 degrees at 9 a.m. The average range in temperature then between the height of summer and the depth of winter is only 15 degrees. Note then how Tauranga compares with other spots throughout the world;—

Just study that table carefully and then post this copy on to a friend to ponder over. By this simple means we can all help advertise our town and its attractions and so help to build up its population and its prosperity.
