Mr W, H. Gifford and Mr Keith Gifford returned this afternoon from a holiday trip to the South Island. Mr and Mrs R. J. Allely of Herne Bay, are spending a month with their daughter, Mrs G. Hammond, “Upyonder,” Welcome Bay. Mr and Mrs T. Hoare, of Palmerston North, are spending a holiday in Tauranga. Staying at the Masonic Hotel are Messrs Bennett, Preman, Cameron, Groves, and Warner. Mr and Mrs R. M. McClinchie, of Omokoroa, have left on a fortnight’s tour of the southern districts of the North Island. Guests at the Star Hotel are Mr and' Mrs Watson, Messrs Spiers, Rountree (2), Steer, McCorkindale, Pettifer, Roberts, Wilson, Butler, Irving, Gilbert, and Heath-Preest.
