Mr and Mrs C. E,. Washer leave this afternoon' on a short visit to Auckland, in order to farewell Miss Jean Hunter who leaves by the Awatea to-morrow for Sydney. On arrival in Australia Miss Hunter is to be married to Mr Maurice Washer. We regret to learn that Mr C. T. McFarlane is indisposed, and is at present confined to his home. He hopes to he about in the course of a few days. Vi'itors at the Star Hotel include Mrs AVestern. Mrs Conner. Miss Batham. Messrs Lenrou, Miller, Lindsay, Davey, Neill, Henson and Cooper. Mr and Mrs A. H. P. Briasco of Napier are visiting Tauranga. Mr S. N. Ziman ha? been re-elect-ed President of the AA’aikato snhnrovincial executive of the Farmers’ Union. Staying at (he Masonic Hotel are Mr and Mrs Lewin, Mr and Mrs Louden, Mr and Mrs Dawson, Messrs Croucher, Daly, Taylor, Palmer, Blair, Labrnm, Lyon and Davis.
