Mlt T. W. AVARDLAW STUD’S SUCCESSES
Competing at the five shows in the Bay of Plenty, Mr T. W. AVardlaw, of AVaimana. has won five championships, 38 first prizes, 55 second prizes and minor awards. He also won the AVaimana Cup at the Opotiki Show for the most points in the Jersey section. At the Te Puke Show he won the Mitchell Cup for type and production for the best dairy cow on the ground, competing against all breeds and the Jersey Cup for the champion Jersey cow. At Taumnga, for the third year in succession (now won outright) Mr AVardlaw won Guinness Bros. Cup for most points in the Jersey section over the five shows fours years in succession over the circuit. He also won the circuit’s special prize of £ 5 for the most points in the dairy classes over the five shows. These special prizes have been won ' during the last five years since he commenced breeding Jerseys. He now holds 3 3 certificates of production records with records averaging 03 71b. of fat with only three animals tested as matui e cows. At the present he has seven cows under the C.O.R. test, and expects them to average about 700 lb. of fat.
