"WOULD DIAMOND DISPLAY OF £3,000,000 King Leopold of the Belgians recently opened the diamond exhibition la the two large halls of the Salle des Fetes at Amsterdam. Some of the -most wonderful diamonds in existence were on view, representing a value nearly £3,000,000. One exhibition was a portrait of the King surmounted by a crown of diamonds made up of 1500 stones. The frame was also covered with •diamonds. There was one big stone of more than GO carats of the purest hluewhite. There were piuk diamonds *nd a so-called mi-regent stone of “9 carats, also a rarity. A special section contained histori■cal watches set with diamonds, miniatures, antiques, brooches, chains and nracclels. Several old Antwerp fumifamily heirlooms. The Diamond Corporation of Lonnn sent a remarkable collection of ough stones. Visitors saw cutters d polishers at work and some of e stones finished at the exhibition Ivere prizes in a lottery.
