The ninth with no bowl within four feet gave Pukekolie one aiuMhe tenth and eleventh j were Onhunga’s for two each, leaving the score 15-7. The twelfth head found Bish in a very difficult position, 4 down with one of Gatland’s lying on the jack. Robertson drew another, but Bish witli his first scattered the bead and lay one down. With his next he drew a perfect shot on to one of Iris own and pressed it in to follow up for two, 15-9. Every head playing north was very scattered, probably due to a gusty wind more evident at that end. The 13th was no exception and Pukekohe got one out of it, and three on the 14 th to make the game more even, 15-13. Lying two down on the 15th, Bish drew a nice shot. Robertson ran at it but missed. Bisli was a little too firm with his last and re-t----ed his shot bowl out—Onehunga one. The 16th head was interesting and ended up with three to Pukekohe, making the score 10-1 G for the IGth head. Erratic bowling on the 17th head again left plenty of room for the skips to draw. Bish with his last was wme and wicked in one of his own from the wing for shot, leaving Pukekohe up on the board for the first time, 17-16. Bish had a difficult head to draw to on the 18th but managed to get second shot. Robertson, however, wicked kitty for two, Bish failed to alter the head and Robertson forced up another—Onehunga 3, On Lhe 19th head Masters drew a nice shot, but Bradanovich 'trailed the jack nicely for two. The head was disastrous for Onehunga, Pukekohe getting live out of it, giving them a lead of three, 22-19. Sumner drew a nice shot with his first on the 20th head and touched the jack with his second but Masters rested one out. Bradanovich drew the shot, and Oatland missed with both. Livingstone tried to get the kitty back tor three or tour, but tailed. Robertson tried the same shot, gathered the kitty perfectly but ran it back to Hosking’s back ’bowl. With only inches to spare he drew a beautiful shot with his last—Onehunga one, and two down on the board with a head to go. On the last head Masters was over with his first and wide with the second, Sumner being over and short. Gatland was also over with his first. Bradanovich drew the shot and Gatland was over again; so was Bradanovich. Livingstone drew the shot and Hosking was down with his first and wide with his second. Robertson was over with both his, and Bish was short. Onehunga one up on the head and one down on the board 22-21. , .

Pukekohe thus won a very closely contested game by a very narrow margin.
