TREASURER’S REPORT ESTIMATES ADOPTED ALTERATIONS ON. ROLL The financial report for the past month was presented by Mr H. Lewis, Treasurer, to Friday’s meeting of the Tauranga County Council as follows: The Council’s several accounts at the Bank show the following bal-ances:-r— ---£ s. d. Fund Account Dr. 2057 7 9 Loans Account Cr. 3009 4 1 Bridges Fund A/c. Cr. 337 13 1 Accounts before the meeting for passing of payment amount to £5112 10s, being £3333 10s Sd ou the Fund Account, £ 504 19s lOd Loans Account, and £ 1273 19s 6d for relief works. In conjunction with the Engineer, the estimates for the year have been framed and are submitted this day for adoption. No official word has yet come to hand in the matter of the Government taking over this County’s portion of highway as set out in the press, and the estimates have been framed ou the basis, as previously obtained.
The Valuation Department has submitted the lists of alterations and re-assessments throughout the county comprising 274 alterations in the county assessments. The rolls have been amended accordingly and the rate book is now being compiled in accordance therewith.
The estimates, as presented by the Treasurer, were adopted. Cr Heather moved—-That the Treasurer’s report be adopted.—Seconded by Cr McKenna and carried.
