Mr C. H. Burnett, M.P., who has been indisposed for a few days, is now about again. Mr and Mrs Burnett have taken up their residence in Fifth Avenue. Mr Burnett’s telephone number is 4 24.

Miss Denniston, of Pukekohc, is spending a holiday with relatives in Tauranga.

Amongst the candidates who were successful in passing the Royal Academy and Schools of Music theory of music examination was Miss Mima Carswell, of Tauranga.

Lapwood, North Auckland; Miss Hunter, Whangarei; Miss Dunning, Leigh; Miss Wray, Miss Lowe, Miss Buchendale, Miss Wakeley and Miss McLeod, Auckland.

New arrivals at Griffiths Hotel the Mount include, Mr and Mrs E. B. Bayley, Auckland; Mr V. Fleming, Masterton; Mr H. A. Haven, Christchurch; Mr R. Owens, Wellington; Mr S. Sims, Dunedin.

Guests at the Commercial Hotel are Mr and Mrs Ashton, Miss Jephcote, Miss Forrest, Misses Marriott (2), Messrs Lennon, Summers and Malder (Auckland), Mr Rowe (Hamilton) and Messrs Ballantyne, McKinstry, McNicol and Washbourne.
