PROBLEM SOLVED

Three weeks ago Mr Clinch, a farmer in Samford (Queensland), placed a setting of 12 eggs under one of his hens.

They began to disappear. One morning he heard a great commotion in the chicken run. He hastened out in time to see a bloated iguana ambling across the yard. More eggs had disappeared. Mr Clinch killed the intruder and opened it up. He replaced these under the hen, and now eight fine chickens have hatched out.
