Second Race WIN FOK KAIAPOI yiX 130 ATS HAVE MISHAPS Auckland, Jan. -2 The second race for the Cornwell Cup was sailed this afternoon in a squally north-cast wind. Within six minutes after the start the Hamilton, Pliminertou and Whangarei boats capsized, and Tauranga, Otago and Wellington were dismantled. The Mauukau boat led until the last round when it capsized. The finish was: Kaiapoi. 3h 59m 44s 1 Christchurch, 4h Cm 4 (is .... 2 Lyttelton, 4h dm 5Ss 3 Paremata, 4h 6m 13s 4 The Auckland boat filled close to finish. H.. The third race will start at 9 a.m. and the fourth at 3 p.m. to-morrow. Tauranga Wins Third Kacc. A telegram received at 1.4 5 this afternoon staled that Tauranga won the third Cornwell Cup race. Wellington was second and Christchurch third.
