IXSFECTIOX TOUR

Mi’ O. N, Campbell, Under-Seere-tafy to the Native Department, accompanied by Sir Apirana Ngala, Mr Blackburn, chief development officer of the department, Mr H. Tai Mitchell, Chairman of the Arawa Trust Board, and Mr W. Scott, farm supervisor for the Rotorua district, arrived in Hotorua at the week-end after cailying out a tour of the native development schemes in the Bay of Plenty and Rotorua districts. Interviewed by the Rotorua Post, a member of the party staled that the tom had proved most interesting. The country embraced by the schemes visited was looking particularly well and the stock carried on it was in excellent condition. A number of deputations had been received and various local complaints had been ventilated and had received consideration.

The tour included visits to the following schemes: Murupara, Waiohau Bluffs, Te Teko, Putauaki (Mt. Edgecumbe), Tarawcra, Matata, Waewaetuku (Maketu), Kaitemako (Te ■Puke), Raugiuru (Te Puke), Taheke and Tokorau.
